Thoughts on Love

What is Love, other than a feeling? An emotion does not describe what love is, it simply categorizes it as a feeling or emotion. Emotions are signals; communication without words. Feelings are hard to describe or put into words. Emotions are necessary for the inner self or subconscious to communicate to the outer self or conscious self, and others, what is going on inside. We can either ignore or acknowledge these signals. Emotions also have intensity levels which might convey urgency.

But what is it about Love? Why is it so special? Why is it so important?

There’s a mystery behind it.

What causes love? What is the root of love?

To me Love is a connection, a bond. When you love someone you feel like they are a part of you. Like your body is an extension of yourself, so are those you love. The phantom limb phenomenon applies to this idea as well. When you lose someone you will still feel that connection and love there. They will always be a part of you.
The problem people have is treating love like filler when there’s a void within oneself. When you need someone to complete you or make you whole it is codependency not love. There might be a connection or bond but it will be an unhealthy relationship. Be whole fulfilled and complete within yourself and then love will be what it is truly meant to be, an extension of yourself. You must have enough in order to freely give. To really love someone means there is no ulterior motives. It is selfless. A healthy loving relationship within this dynamic will have much less tension than a codependent one.
Love is special and unique because it is the only emotion that is used to empower a person. The more connections and bonds one has they are extending themselves beyond their own self. The energy of love that flows within our world will acknowledge your alliance. Nature freely gives, cares, attends, no questions asked. You will begin to flow within the laws of nature. Your perception and mentality will expand with endless possibilities, doors will open, and opportunities will arise. Love creates oneness, unity, dedication, & loyalty. Nothing great or profound ever happened without these things. There is power in love.
